The rolling hills of the Collio region northeast of Venice are home to the most distinctive white wines in Italy. It's hard to argue that Fantinel doesn't make on of the best Pinot Grigio's in the country at their Sant'Helena estate in the heart of the Collio; it's rich and ripe, more akin to an Oregon Pinot Gris than anything you're used to with the name Grigio! A totally different level than Santa Margherita, this has to be tried to be believed!
Wine Spectator
Clean and delicate, with peach, citrus and spice character. Full-bodied, with lots of spice, honey and peach flavors. Long and intense, with good acidity keeping the wine lively. Drink now. 4,000 cases made.
